With the November 2, 2021 elections fastly approaching, RWAM has decided to feature black women who are running for political office in the metro Atlanta area throughout the month of October. Our goal and commitment is to keep our readers and followers educated and informed. This is not an endorsement.

    City of Lithonia
Candidate For City Council – Incumbent

In these last 4 years I have been at work making sure our values and visuals for what we desire in the city of Lithonia align with our residents, our decision making, ordinances, and approval process in the areas of zoning and permit decisions. I have upheld the concerns of stakeholders and organized platforms like the Lithonia Roundtable to make sure we are actively listening to the concerns and ideas of our residents and business owners so collectively we implement resources to continue to make Lithonia Beautiful! Roads, sidewalks, signage, online presence, commercial redevelopment, business grants, new Senior Center, recreation park in Lithonia, Amphitheatre park mgmt and developing businesses on Main Street are a few things I have worked on. With my municipality covering only 2 square miles we are actively working to improve our small town feel and draw in businesses that will attract more diversity of people.
