    Starring Broadway’s Kyra Da Costa as Charity
    First Time Sweet Charity Musical Performed By An All Black Cast

    From The producer who brought you The Motown Motor City Revue, A Soulful Christmas, The Cotton Club Revue, and One Night at the Disco, Get ready for “Sweet Charity”.

    Theatrical Director/Producer, Stepp Stewart, brings vibrant color to this Tony Award winning Musical, starring Kyra Da Costa & singer, songwriter, and actor Rhett George, from the original 2005 Broadway revival cast. The story of Sweet Charity is set in New York City in 1966. Originally directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse, this production will be presented with an ALL-BLACK CAST, for the first time on any stage. Sweet Charity is a big Broadway musical known for its hit musical numbers: “HEY BIG SPENDER”, IF MY FRIENDS COULD SEE ME NOW”, “THE FRUGE”, “THE RHYTHM OF LIFE” and much more. Charity Hope Valentine. a dance hall hostess, wants out of her current occupation and dreams of a fairytale life with a nice guy. Finding the right guy in New York City can be difficult, but she never gives up hope. Exciting choreography, dazzling costumes, amazing voices, and a live orchestra, directed by Brian Whitted. The musical will also star LaMonte Williams, Socoya Tokumori, Kat Thurman and Anthony Dorsey.

    Born in Denver Colorado, DaCosta has appeared in the original Dream Girls, ABA, and Sweet Charity on Broadway. Her television credits include Grey’s Anatomy, House, and Pain N Love. She has also performed singing at the Oscars and NAACP Image Awards. A graduate of New York’s LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Howard University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Degree.

    Toronto born George is an accomplished singer, songwriter, actor. and dancer who has performed with artists from Aretha Franklin and Mariah Carey to Jill Scott, Ben Vereen, and Taylor Dayne. Rhett played Big Daddy in the revival of Sweet Charity on Broadway with Christina Applegate. He was in the original Broadway cast of Tony Award Winners Wicked and Memphis.

    About the Director:
    Stepp Stewart is an Emmy Nominated Producer/Director, Choreographer Playwright. He has been in show business for more than 30 years touring in the United State, Europe, and Japan. He attended the Ohio State University with continuing studies in New York City while focusing on theater and dance. His theatrical credits include Jelly’s Last Jam, Cats, Bubbling Brown Sugar, Sophisticated Ladies, Applause, Hot Mikado, and Dream Girls, to name a few.
