LaKisha has had the pleasure of planning small to large corporate events, such as awards shows, galas, fundraisers, conferences, and seminars. Her first event was planned 9 years ago. From then, she knew it was destined to pursue her passion. She has a degree in Interior Design. She also holds a degree in Management with a concentration in Small Business & Entrepreneurship. She started Designer Events by LaKisha in 2017. Designer Events by LaKisha specializes in corporate event planning, event design and set design for films, and plays. Designer Events by LaKisha is accredited by the Better Business Bureau with a “A+” rating; has been since 2018.
One of her favorite personal quotes is “Every space is unique, and you make it your own”.
LaKisha was featured in “The Bossed-Up & Empowered” women’s calendar in 2019. LaKisha is the recipient of the “CEO on the Rise” award for Who’s Who of Urban CEO’s. She was nominated for Talented CEO in 2020. She is an Ambassador for Black Women Networking International (BWN). LaKisha is the Atlanta Chapter Leader for the global women empowerment organization called World Women Conference & Awards. LaKisha is the Executive Director for Times of Expression & Refreshing Ministries (TER), a non-profit organization based in California. She is the Set Designer and Production Assistant for film, Saving Nina, a mini-series about teen and family domestic violence as well as Zulu Blood, an independent film. LaKisha is also an Interior Designer, mentor, speaker, and author. She has been featured in EventPlanner.com, VoyageATL magazine and Shoutout Atlanta.
